The house has a stunningly beautiful, traditional Cotswold garden, which is very occasionally open to the public and Garden Club of America. The gardens in front of the house face due West and enjoy the last of the sun and unbroken views right across to Broadway Tower (5 miles away). The South facing tortoise garden (and it's 70 year old incumbent, Heather) is a perfect sheltered spot for an evening drink and has similarly stunning views. The tennis court sits to the east of the house, with netting fringed by roses and with beautiful views up at the church.
The rose garden however is the highlight, a beautiful walled garden, with numerous varieties of roses, all shapes, sizes and colours. It is overlooked by a beautiful open sided summerhouse which has power, lighting and broadband. This is a beautiful spot which can be used for many things - relax and read a book, a quiet work spot, yoga or al fresco dining. It also houses a ping pong table which is always very popular!
For the energetic, there are 20 acres of park land to explore, with swings under the walnut trees for children and open spaces of grass, perfect for football and picnics. The park is fringed by apple trees - the estate is still a working fruit farm - producing some of the most ancient English varieties.
Close to the house there is a spring fed, fresh water swimming lake with a fantastic al fresco dining set up (see Activities for more details).
